WCG – and its farmer members - have many strong, established partnerships with a preferred range of local hauliers.
By working with these businesses on a personal – one-to-one basis – backed by sophisticated tracking and logistics technology, we are able to optimise grain movements whilst also managing payments and providing delivery confirmation and support services.
This enables our Transport & Logistics Manager – Neil Richards, based at Cannington - to ensure grain is up-lifted on time and efficiently delivered into store or end-user mill, satisfying supply chain needs.
In addition, it helps reduce the number of lorry/miles required to move our member’s grain to market and, by reducing movement of empty lorries, maximizes efficiency and minimizes carbon footprints.
