Directors
WCG is governed by a Management Board, elected from farmer representatives from each of the three Counties: Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. This is currently chaired by Cornwall-farmer, John Moss.
The WCG Management Board – in turn and, on behalf of the members – appoints a specialist business to market members’ grain.
This is currently handled by Openfield and the company’s SW regional general manager, Ian Eastwood, with his Cannington based support team.
In addition, and in order to provide the necessary checks and balances within the business, Ian Eastwood and Openfield Grain Group Director, Elved Phillips, work with a Marketing Review Group.
Meeting on a regular basis, this Review Group helps review, shape and direct marketing policy and report back members’ views.
